What are you pinning?

I had a long weekend (I took off Monday) and it was wonderful! Friday night was family time my sisters, mom, niece and nephew along with the hubby's had dinner at Lindsey's house. Afterward L2, Michael, McK, Bryan and I watched a movie... (If you have not seen Courageous get it watch it and have tissues handy).

Saturday we got a call from Bryan's mom that she and my niece were coming to town and spending the night so we went to dinner with them and just spent the evening hanging out. I really wish we could see them more often!

Sunday we went to church and I have to say it was wonderful I really do like it there and I am looking forward to going again this week.

Monday was me time I spent the day cleaning, listening to music and reading it was wonderful and very much needed!

What are you pinning?



I love finding quotes and sayings I even used to have a good that I kept them in (which I should probably find again). The one above really caught my eye (on pinterest where else). There is so much going on right now some wonderful and some terrible. I know at times I can let things bring me down far to easily. Wanting things to change and them actually changing is not always as easy as it seems but at the same time do I really want to look back a year from now or a month from now and wish I had already done something different? I truly believe you should do things that make you happy. Granted life is not always happy and it is not supposed to be we have to take the good and learn from the bad. However you should be happy more times than not so what do you do to change it? Life is far to short to not do what you love. The thing that should be most important FAMILY is often put aside because life or work gets in the way. The ones we love and that make us happy and should have the best part of us not the complaining when things go wrong or the bad mood because you have had a bad day. Life is moments and I know I need to learn to appreciate each one even the ones that are hard because hopefully I will have learned something from it. We are not promised tomorrow and I don't want to look back and say I wish I did this or I wish I told them that.

Makeup Monday

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Mine was great! I got to go to the movies with Mama to see The Vow and of course in our small town with only 1 movie theater. Well 15 minutes before the movie is over the screen just died yes blank nothing ...waited 10 minutes or so really thinking it was just not gonna work and I was seriously irritated  it finally came back on so I actually got to see the ending.  We went to dinner after that with the family for Leslie's birthday and it was great to get to visit with everyone.

Now onto Makeup Monday

Today is all about vitamin C for your skin. There are many different brands you can get with this happy little vitamin in it but the one that I love is Ole Henriksen truth serum collagen booster (potent vitamin C complex).

It is packed with antioxidants and vitamin C and helps to moisturise your skin. It also helps to smooth out the wrinkles. I have started adding the truth serum to my nightly routine. I have noticed a huge difference in my skin since I have been using it. I am using less concealer since it is helping with the redness and evening out my overall skin tone. It also helps with the overall brightness of your skin.
