Girls Day

 

 

Hey everyone it has been a crazy week around here. Yesterday my Mom and I had appointments out of town so we made a day of it. It was perfect timing too since Mama's birthday was the 12th and mine is this Sunday (yay for a long birthday/holiday weekend).

 

We started off getting our Free Birthday drinks at Starbucks.

 

Went to our appointments.

 

We had lunch at Olive Garden - Below is the free appetizer we got for my birthday. So good!

 

Mama and I always split the Cheese Ravioli when we go.



 

We had never been to that Olive Garden before and these were on both sides of the steps walking up to go in and I just thought they were pretty.

 

 

We went by Kohls of course and as usual they had amazing sales. Then headed to a few other stores.

 

Dinner was yummy:) Vanilla & Cake batter so good!

 

 

We were going to stop by my sisters on the way home so we took a different way and it is just beautiful around there.

 

Favorite guy in the world! Mason he is just to precious for words. (playing with his new bat and ball Grammy picked up for him while we were gone).

This is this years Birthday gift at Sephora. Love free stuff!

 

I did get a new skirt and dress while we were gone. The skirt was $30 got it for $10

The dress was $25 but was on sale and with my Viggle points I got it for about $3.00! Plus it is color unlike most of my clothes (I usually stick with black or grey). 

 

Can't wait for a long weekend!

Sunday I posted about Mama and it being her Birthday and Mother's Day. Here are the pictures from Sunday. We had such a wonderful time and finally everybody was able to get together.

How was your Mother's Day and what are you pinning?

O Christmas Tree

 

 

Monday night was our yearly put up the tree at Mama's night. My sisters, mom and I all get together have dinner then put up Mama's Christmas tree and watch It's A Wonderful Life. I love that we all do this together it is always one of my favorite things at Christmas time. It's A Wonderful Life is one of the best Christmas movies out there I start watching Christmas movies early (usually around October if not before) but that one I don't watch until I have seen it at Mama's it's just something special about watching it with them.

 

This year Mama got one of her Christmas presents early from my sister and her family. She gave her a train set to go around her tree and she loved it!

 

Mama pulled out all of the ornaments and my sisters and I decorated (with Mama's supervision lol).

 

 

Every year going through them I love seeing the same ones over and over that have a special meaning. Trips, ours from when were were kids, the ones that still make us laugh.

 

This is one we always get a good laugh at!  We pull it out every year laugh and put it back in the box for next year to do the same thing again. It doesn't actually go on the tree.

My sisters and I - You may have to get older but you can still be big kids at heart.

 

 

The part we all cry at EVERY year is at the end when Harry makes his toast to his brother George Baily "the richest man in town". No it has nothing to do with money and I think that what makes it so special. Far to often we get caught up in the monetary and wanting to get ahead but that's not what really matters it's family, friends and helping others. Nobody will remember what you wore, how much you spent on them,  what job you had or what you did there, the car you drive or how big your house is what they will remember is how you acted, how you treated others and if you made a difference in their life. I love that his movie reminds me of that every year especially this time of year.

Last Week

 

 

Last week and this past weekend was busy but great! I got to spend a ton of time with Mason, Leslie and Mama and seeing Mason is always the highlight of any day! B was out of town so I was visiting a lot!

 

Last Tuesday I posted that I was going out of town Christmas shopping with my mom, sister and nephew Mason. We had so much fun! It was kind of a gift fail for me since I was shopping for Christmas I could not seem to find much but had the best time.

We ate at the Cheesecake Factory which I had never been to and it was delicious!

 

Mason was like I see the door to food you all are looking the wrong way!

 

 Lemons... well they made him make funny faces but he kept on going back so he must love it!

Okay so I am the weird one I am not a pie, cheesecake, or cake person and I hate brownies... I know how right? Just not for me I do however love chocolate chip cookies but any who. I have tried cheesecake in the past and HATED it. Since we were at the Cheesecake Factory I had to at least try theirs we all shared this one and I loved theirs (well loved all but the crust goes back to the whole I don't like pie thing)!

Shopping was fun but it is very exhausting!

When we got back to Mama's Leslie and Mason played a little ball before his bedtime.

 

On Wednesday I was back at Mama's to visit but really who could stay away from this sweet face?

 

He loved my Diet MD bottle... hope he stays away from the soft drinks when he gets older they are addictive!

 

 

Saturday and Sunday I was back at Mama's. Saturday afternoon Grammy and I went for a stroll with Mason.



 

It just doesn't get any better than this being home with family and a beautiful sunset.

Sunday was a gorgeos day so we all enjoyed the outside for a little while.
