Weekend Fun

 

 

Hope everyone has had a wonderful week so far. It's been one thing after another here but oh well.

 

This past weekend was my baby sisters 5 year wedding Anniversary. Happy Anniversary Leslie & Chris!

So lucky for me ...Mama had Mase on Saturday and I got to go hang out with him Saturday afternoon.

 

 

 

Of course we had to pick up sonic for after his nap.

 

Mama had set up his little pool and the slip & slide to play on. I did find out something very important though... I will not try to get back on the kiddie slip and slide. I fell banged my head and my arm hurt for 2 days... but it was really funny thank goodness Mama didn't have her camera out.

Wednesday Lunches

 

 

Happy Friday! I am so glad the weekend is FINALLY almost here. It has been a long week. Of course on Wednesdays we still have our lunch at Mama's. This week she got a slip and slide for McKayla and Mason to play on. When I got there they had been at it for awhile and having a ball. It has not been a great week by any means but as always on Wednesdays I know at 12 I will be smiling when that little face grins or giggles or is teasing me. Nothing outside of that matters at the moment so in the middle of a bad week there is always a reason to smile. This is what is important. Family. Memories.

To say this week has been busy and crazy is a serious understatement. Hopefully after tomorrow it will be a little more relaxing. I did manage to have a few fun things this week though here they are in pictures of course.

Monday after work I went to take care of Mason until Mama got off work. So of course that means lots of fun and lots of pictures.

 

He decided to help Grammy and water her flowers.

We all ate outside Mama had fixed Chef Boyardee Pizza and we had salads.

Last night was relaxing finally. CMT Awards and a beer while laying in bed. Perfect!

Weekend - This will always be home

 

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Saturday was my cleaning day but it was still nice just being at home.

I did take some of my favorite quotes from Pinterest and put them in a frame beside my bed as a constant reminder.

 



 

 

Sunday I slept in (so needed). My sisters and I all headed to Mama's Sunday afternoon to put together her patio set she got and just hang out. Here are the pictures from the day.

It was a perfect day with my Mom, sisters and Mason. I am so blessed to have them in my life and to have grown up in such a beautiful place. Mama's will always be home. On days like yesterday playing in the yard with Mason not only does it bring back wonderful memories of when the 3 of us were little but knowing we are making new memories with him fills my heart with so much happiness, love and appreciation.

Even though sometimes I think I would love to move to a different small town I can't imagine missing days like this.



When I got home I just relaxed in the hammock for awhile and listened to music.

The Weekend and My Birthday

 

 

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. My was great especially since it was my Birthday weekend.  Another year older don't know where the time went but man I must be getting old (haha)!

 

Friday they let us off early and I went to get some flowers... finally. I still need to go get some more but hey it's a start.

 

I decided to go by Mama's house afterwards since she had Mason. Lindsey & McK were already there and Lindsey had gone to get them all Sonic. Mason got his own but I guess he liked the big one better.

Saturday morning while I was cleaning Toby was trying to attack shadows again... silly cat.

then it was time to nap again (for him anyway)



 

 

Sunday was my Birthday. I got up and went to church to hear my sister speak about her Haiti trip (she did so good). Then came home and did a few things outside before we had to get ready for my birthday dinner with my family at our favorite restaurant.



 

I am so lucky to have such a wonderful family!

Bryan had already bought my birthday present about a month ago but he still ended up getting me a card, roses and 2 baskets of flowers for outside. It was so sweet. He also spent the weekend cutting grass and pressure washing the house. The pollen was so bad this year EVERYTHING outside was yellow. I have allergies and I could not even go out there with it that bad. THANK YOU B!

Bryan is not home that often and when he is he doesn't get in usually until late. So dinner for him is really late (like usually 9 or after) and since we don't know the time it's just quick food. Since we were both home we finally had a quiet dinner together. I can't even tell you the last time that happened. It was so nice. That is one of the things I really miss.

I love that I can finally relax outside when I get home at night now! Nothing better than a book and my hammock (which is going back up tomorrow). I still need to go get some flowers but hey this is so much better!
