Makeup Monday

Hello everyone hope you all had a wonderful weekend figured it was time for another Makeup Monday since it has been awhile.

 

So I finally got my New Beauty Test Tube. I will say that I was disappointed this time it is usually packed full of stuff so this time I have to say it my least favorite since I started getting them. Still good for what you pay but nowhere near what I usually receive in it. So here is the breakdown.

Dr. Brandt Pore No More Cleanser $35
I tried this over the weekend and I really like it.
 

Mally- Black Eye Liner $25
I have actually purchased this liner before and it is pretty good.
 

Simple- Cleansing Wipes $5
I have bought the cleansing wipes before as well and was not thrilled with them.
 

Tarte- Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush $25
The blush I have to admit I love it and was so glad they sent it was one of the things that I have wanted to try but had not gotten yet. Like all of the other Tarte products it is wonderful.

of course the magazine alone is $9.95

 

Smaller sizes of

Stila Multi Use Gel Cream - Pretty good... standard I guess nothing really impressive.

Vinchy- Face and Eye Serum

Phyto- balm

 

They always have a list of their top picks in several categories some of the products I have tried others I haven't so I thought I would give you my top picks. Since there are so many different "categories"  this round is just going to be about skincare since that is obviously where it all starts!
 

Cleanser

 Philosophy Purity with the Clarisonic Mia

Face

 Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster - THIS IS THE BEST will not do without! Sorry but this one wins hands down no matter what other products I have tried (and there have been many) it is packed with Vitamin C and if you are used to using the primers for color correcting you won't need it this evens out your skin. It is a serum but it is not greasy like some things I have tried.

Moisturizer

okay these are the best 3 I have found

  Ole Henriksen Truth Crème Advanced Hydration Pros you can tell a difference the next day after putting it on at night the con for this is amazing  as it is I personally don't like the smell since I don't like anything citrusy.

  Elemis which I love and makes your skin look to die for but lets face it that one you have to make last forever since it is so pricey.

Mario Badescu Honey Moisturizer this one there is nothing but praise the price is not outrageous and it works like a charm.  

Eyes

Clinique- All about the Eyes Serum this I keep in the fridge and put on first thing when I wake up before putting on anything else in the mornings.

Hope everyone is having a great week around here is just cold (which I really hate but so hoping for a ton of snow Friday so I won't have to work... a girl can wish right?).

 

Anyway I am sitting around listening to a little Jason, Luke and Brantley being lazy so be warned this will a rather random post.

 

I figured since I am sitting around lazy and somewhat bored I would share a few things about me don't get to excited I really have a completely boring life.

 

 Most of my wardrobe consists of black, grey with some more black and grey not to many pieces of color in the closet.

 

Favorite Foods- Potatoes hands down (preferably Fries, Scalloped Potatoes or baked of course with butter and sour cream) next up would have to be cheese pizza and veggie corn dogs (scary right sounds like something your kids would say minus the veggie corn dogs of course).  Gotta throw in some asparagus casserole, corn pudding and spinach dip. (In case you missed it I am a vegetarian)

Okay here is where you will all think I nuts but I don't like brownies AT ALL or cake there you can think I am insane now... if I want something sweet I want a vanilla milkshake (no I don't like chocolate milkshake), chocolate chip cookies or a hot fudge sundae from McDonald's and that is about it.

 

I have a slight....okay a major obsession with makeup. I have way to much but I love choices.

 

I have 1 dog Bo who is my baby. He is and always be the best dog in the world. I also have 2 cats Toby and Sophie who I love but lets be honest here they are devils (no not kidding) only B and I could love them anyway they really are evil at least half the time.

 

The above are my only babies B and I don't have kids... not by choice it's been 8 and half years and still no little ones. I really am starting the think I have a better chance at winning millions from the lottery than having a baby.  That is a topic for another day though no depressing stuff tonight.

 

I really would rather read any day of the week than watch TV. My nook pretty much goes everywhere with me just in case.

 

I am a complete homebody, sometimes way to sarcastic (usually at the wrong times). I also think there is nothing better than country music and that song can completely change my mood.

 

So now that you know some totally not important and random things about me what is something  about you people may or maynot know?

Lindsey's Party

 

Lindsey's Birthday was on Saturday so she had everybody over for Brunch we had such a nice time and she did an amazing job of putting everything together.

 

 

 

Other than that B & I  pretty much stayed the rest of the weekend and slept lol. How was your weekend?
